Ballista (crossbow) print in place
thingiverse
This is my precision Ballista, every component carefully printed in place. Fires the arrow effortlessly through the room and beyond with perfect accuracy! I selected four layers of cotton sewing thread as bowstring, its tensile strength perfectly suited for this project. The easiest loading method is by using the arrow itself, as clearly demonstrated in the video tutorial. Thoroughly tested with both PETG and PLA filaments, utilizing 90% infill density and a layer height of 0.2mm. Printing time with these settings averages around two hours.
