All I did was add supports and a thicker ribbon band. Since I have a small printer, it printed quite thin and broke the first two times. Then I added a base for the supports, so they don't tip over. I use a TOYBOX 3D printer and found you still have to be very careful in removing the supports, or it will break still, just not as easily.
