BALLASTED TIDY CUP FOR LARGER ARTISTS' BRUSHES

Tall brushes are a bit problematic to store.  If the container isn't tall enough they flop about all over the place and if it is they are really easy to knock over.    This is similar to the Artists Brushes and Pencil Tidy I made for shorter brushes, but it has a couple of built- in tricks.   The dividers look a little small for large brushes, but they will keep them closer to upright to prevent over balancing, and are quite easy to use.The dimensions of this one are: 80mm x 165mm (about 3.5 x 6.75 inches)For sentimental reasons I prefer to use an old clay pot as external ballast, but if you don't have an old pot that your father made lying around - simply drop an inch (2or 3 centimetres) or so of sand, old nuts, washers, plaster or anything with a bit of weight in it, into the bottom of the cup, and push down the INSERTS to seal it all in and make a new false bottom. The INSERT files have been designed to be printed in vase mode, and have a slightly tapered firm wedge-fit.   They are not designed to come out again- so be aware that if you want to add more weight later it will be a lot easier to simply print another set and put them over the first ones.I printed my pot with a 0.6mm nozzle - no supports are necessary, 0.3mm QUALITY settings in PrusaSlicer using Prusament Galaxy Black.    As noted above the INSERTS  are printed in vase mode, also with a 0.6mm nozzle.
