Ball Vertex

Ball Vertex

thingiverse

This project aims to reduce hardware fasteners by experimenting with different connectors in building various structures using an OpenScad file. The connections and vertices receive rods of a specified diameter (default 8mm), which can be adjusted through parameters like ball size, connector length, and rod diameter. Connectors have pass-throughs for straight lines while vertices act as terminators with butted ends not allowing rod passage. Structures such as cubes, equilateral faces, prisms, tetrahedrons, and T-sections can be formed using these connectors. Updates to the file have corrected issues with the Tetrahedron vertex and added a Tetrahedron passthrough connector for creating shelves. To use these connectors, design your rod-based structure, cut rods according to lengths (including vertex separations), and insert them into connectors' sleeves. Note that support structures may be needed during printing based on the connector type used.
