Modular Mounting System's Simple Ball and Socket Design A basic yet effective ball and socket mount for the modular mounting system can be created using three screw tabs on the socket. These tabs enable users to secure the assembly by screwing it down. The threads in both the socket and cap were specifically designed for easier printing. This resulted in a 30-degree angle, which should be more manageable without any support structures. The standard 60-degree thread angle can be challenging for certain materials, making the reduced angle a better option. Printing this design without supports should be feasible. Its suitability extends to various modular mounting parts, but it works particularly well with arms and knobs.
