This initial model had insufficient reinforcement at its thin section, thus a revised version named ballSocket3.stl was created to address this issue. The original file has been deleted, and pictures of the improved model are posted. Inspired by gorilla tripods, this one-piece ball and socket design features a central hole for wire insertion. While it is not considered a derivative work, similar models can be found on Thingiverse (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:68774, http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:30918, http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5578, http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2954, http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:68128, and http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:67911). The model is set to be printed with 10% infill, two shells, a slice height of .27, and extruded at 237 degrees; the multiply function will be used for simultaneous printing of multiple models.
