This is a standard 1½ inch ball mount, equivalent in size to ram mount C. The screw holes are designed for ¼-inch bolts arranged in either a square or triangular pattern. You can reinforce the mount by inserting a 50mm (or shorter) M6 bolt into its hollow core; secure it with glue or epoxy applied to both the threads and the hex bolt's sides. Remember, this homemade mount will not match the strength of an off-the-shelf metal mount. Proceed at your own risk.
