Ball Jointed Pixie Doll
thingiverse
3D printed ball jointed doll work in progress. To streamline printing parts for arms and legs, consider using mirroring to print both sides of the body simultaneously. Due to scaling discrepancies with some parts in UP software during printing, further adjustments may be necessary. Additional design features include a separate model for a 6mm diameter printable eye. When assembled, superglue or seed beads can be used to create an iris effect or painted directly onto the printed part. Key Printing Settings: - Rafts: Always use. - Supports: Irrelevant in this scenario. - Resolution: Use a 2mm setting. - Infill: Set for solid material. Post-Assembly Instructions: Assemble the doll by using elastic and fishing line to string together its components. Further instructions can be found here ( link ) for putting the doll together successfully. This project began with a thoughtful design process documented in detail on my blog.
