Ball-jointed Cat

Ball-jointed Cat

Designing a ball-jointed dog starts by 3D printing two sets of legs and then assembling them onto a single body print, while a 4-piece mechanism is designed for flexibility. A hinge at the top lets you tilt your pup's head. You can also pose her body using removable clips attached to both upper leg joints, allowing a wide range of poses to be created. Note: Assembly requires glue. The model needs no modifications if it has been 3D printed without raft or supports and will not move on its own in any situation, though if it has the last 1/8 inch layer will need to have any overhanging pieces trimmed from it. All that remains now is deciding upon a face for your new best friend - painting or adding parts can both be very time consuming so some creative restraint would be beneficial.
