Ball Joint Mount

Ball Joint Mount

I designed this to hold a 5-inch video monitor on my truck's dashboard, but you can stick it anywhere else that's flat. I used the build plate to heat up the base and shape it to fit snugly into my dash panel's slight curve. The mounting arm I created is shown in one picture, but since it was made specifically for the monitor I had, I didn't include those files. To make your own arm, start with a 10mm diameter cylinder that's about 12-13mm long to match the top of the ball joint. It helps to chamfer the end of the inserted part so it slides in smoothly. I designed this using Fusion360 and would be happy to share those files if you want them – just send me a message!
