Ball joint articulated 2020 extrusion top mount filament guide Watsit

Balls! Three of them. Do you have a wall mount or a top mount? Does it drive you mad trying to find a filament guide that eases the bending strain on your filament when you have a direct mount extruder? Well search no longer! This simple articulated ball joint filament guide should do the trick. Three different flavors to choose from: minus 45 degrees, zero degrees, and positive 45 degrees depending on where your favorite selected filament is coming from. The ball is a fairly tight fit in the mount and is printed in-situ. It may require some gentle wiggling around to get it up and make it nice and loose so that it glides around freely. Printing should be done at the finest level you can achieve so that the ball doesn't bind or stick itself to... itself. Also print them with the 2 X flat surfaces on the bed, and add in supports from the bed only. Orientation and supports are shown in one of the pictures. Yes, it is a pain in the bunghole, but it's the strongest way to print these as they're not only subjected to the forces of the filament tugging away, but also have to be strong in the other direction so that you can mount them to your 2020 extrusion using hammer head nuts. The hole in the ball is 5mm wide, which will allow you to screw in a bowden connector should you wish, even at both ends - or whatever takes your fancy... It will also allow you to pass a bowden tube right through the middle, so you can either glue it in place, or just have it flap around in there. Again, entirely your choice! Holes in the base will allow for M5 bolts. You can use M4 bolts, but may need to use a washer. Mind you - you should use a washer with an M5 bolt anyhow so just ignore me there... Use a washer. Any issues, just shout and I'll do something about it.
