Ball in Buckyball

A Fresh Creation of My Own Handiwork. This intricate design was born from the limitless possibilities offered by Blender, where math functions, extrusions, and booleans came together in perfect harmony to shape its form. Instructions: Ensure you print with support structures for optimal stability. The ideal printing orientation has the ball positioned at the bottom. I've observed that the preview display can sometimes inaccurately rotate the model by 90 degrees; thus, I recommend taking this into consideration during your print job. Photos: Captured on a Makerbot 5th generation 3D printer using the proprietary Makerbot Desktop software, I am eager to experiment with Simplify 3D for enhanced quality. To mitigate issues associated with sticking first support layers due to limitations in the Makerbot Desktop application, I employed raft technology, thereby facilitating smooth printing and successful structural integrity.
