Ball Head for camera tripod
thingiverse
The initial version, V1, showcased potential but was merely an attempt. Version 2 improves upon this by creating a unified design instead of a jointed pair. I opted for OpenSCAD to make it parametric. My objective is to manufacture a camera's ball head mount using a 'hardwood doll head' (42mm or 1 5/8") procured from Michaels. However, this first iteration has a flaw: the lack of attachment mechanism in the base for tripod connection due to the central split. Printing is necessary with support, but ensure sparse placement for easy removal. A hacksaw blade may serve well in clearing the gap meant for flexibility.
