Ball Cat Toy (No Supports)
thingiverse
This was my very first attempt at 3D modeling, so please let me know if there are any issues with the model that I can correct. We have a cat toy minefield on our floor, which tends to lead to an unfortunate "crunch" and one fewer toy lying around. Instead of buying a new one, I decided to try salvaging the little jingle bell and printing a new housing for it. I designed this very simple model with a 50mm diameter (you may need to scale down to fit a smaller bell) featuring random hearts, stars, and moons for decoration to minimize filament use. The print is designed to be printed without supports, so you can simply print two halves, add your bell, and super glue them together. I printed it in glow-in-the-dark PLA to enhance night-time visibility and potentially extend its lifespan. I used 30% infill to make it a bit more rigid, but it should still work with lower infill settings.
