A custom ball-bearing spool holder for the Monoprice Select Mini. Replaces the factory spool holder, fitting snugly on the tabs used by the original spool holder. Requires one 5/16"x5" bolt, one 5/16" lock nut, and three precision 608 bearings to assemble effectively. (Refer to the links provided for recommended suppliers.) To build successfully: First, print the Spool Holder Beginning with supports intact. Next, push the bolt through from the hexagonal side of the hole in the middle of the printed piece. Expect a snug fit, requiring some force to secure properly. Next, print the Spool Holder Spacer and slide it onto the bolt smoothly. Print one copy of the Spool Holder Center with supports included. Then insert a 608 bearing into the side featuring the flange, ensuring it's flush with the end of the printed piece once seated firmly. A tight fit is expected, requiring some force to achieve. Repeat this process for the opposite side of the print, where the bearing should stick halfway out. Now, slide the print onto the bolt, positioning the flanged side towards the Spool Holder Beginning. Print a second copy of the Spool Holder Center with supports intact. Then insert another 608 bearing into the side featuring the flange, ensuring it's flush with the end of the printed piece once seated firmly. Slide this print onto the bolt as well, but position the flanged side away from the Spool Holder Beginning. Finally, print the Spool Holder End with supports included. Push the lock nut into the hexagonal side of the hole in the middle of the print, expecting a snug fit that requires some force to secure properly. Then screw the spool holder end onto the bolt, tightening it just enough to ensure a secure lock without over-tightening.
