Ball Bearing Maze Cube Puzzle

These are my maze cubes! Goal is to start the ball from one entry point of the maze and get out the other. There are “wormholes” that connect each face of the maze. I designed them to be easy to assemble and to have minimum post processing of the prints.

Materials:

7 - pieces of the cube (3d printed)

12 - 6-32 screws (0.75 inches long)

1 - 3/8in ball bearing

Because I understand that the majority of the world doesn't use freedom units, here is a list of alternate materials in metric to use

Alternate Materials:

7 - pieces of the cube (3d printed) (SCALED TO 110%)

12 - M4 screws (15-20mm length)

1 - 10mm ball bearing

NOTE: You can also glue the faces on if you don't have any screws.

How to Print:

I printed mine on a Prusa Mk3 with default .3mm layer height settings. Print the faces outside down and the center cube can be printed in any orientation. NOTE: You should not need supports for any of the pieces. If you choose to print the center cube with supports, you will be spending hours removing them.

Post-Processing:

Minimal post processing should be required. Check to make sure that the ball easily fits in each hole. A small amount of filing may be needed if overhangs aren't great.

Assembly:

Each face has been marked with a letter to help figure out orientation when assembling. Match the letters on the faces to the center cube; T-top face, F-front face, B-bottom face, b-back face, L-left face, and R-right face.

NOTE: The letters will not line up perfectly between the faces and the center cube, but they will be close. You can also use the screw holes as a check for alignment as they should be unique to each face.

Updates: I am currently working on making the medium cube better. It was my first version, so it has a lot of problems and requires a lot of post-processing to make work.
