Balista

This is a fully functional miniature model of a Roman Balista, crafted from high-quality PLA and TPU/TPE materials. Perfect for engaging in epic battles within the comfort of your own living room! With no additional non-printed components required beyond a single drop of glue, you're ready to unleash your inner gladiator. Four essential parts - string, two torsion springs, and trigger spring - must be printed using TPU or TPE. The remaining elements are crafted from PLA, with the stock made from Wood PLA for an authentic touch. The trigger pawl needs resetting after pulling the string back, utilizing the lever at the end of its axle. This is easily achieved by applying a small drop of glue to secure the axle through the pawl. However, you may find that it's tight enough without this additional step. To aid in assembly, I've included an array of pictures detailing every step. Simply print one set of each component, except for the limb and torsion spring which require two units each, as well as multiple bolts (arrows) to suit your needs. The torsion spring boasts three adjustable power settings: low, medium, and high. To fine-tune the power output, simply move the four torsion spring rods into one of the three available positions within the top and bottom ratchet plates. Upon completion, you'll possess a miniature Roman handheld artillery piece that's both easy to conceal and undetectable to X-ray detection. So go ahead, have fun, and unleash your inner warrior!
