Balisong / Butterfly Knife (Really nice one)
thingiverse
Hi,\r\nThis is my 3rd balisong knife and I have to say this one is my best so far. It's quite different from previous ones because it has some metal parts in it which make it a bit heavier and feel better in hand.\r\nIf you're looking for a one-day project, go with this one ;D\r\n\r\nHere are the links for my other balisongs:\r\nhttps://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3816417\r\nhttps://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3425826\r\n\r\nCheck out my other designs and my Instagram creations :D\r\nhttps://www.thingiverse.com/davvve/about\r\nhttps://www.instagram.com/3d_davej/\r\n\r\nHere you can see me trying to flip it :P I tried two times but YouTube is blocking it :C\r\nTrust me, it flips well\r\n\r\nFollow for more <3\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nMaterial list:\r\n->4mm steel rod. You'll need to cut it into 9mm pieces (x8). It's optional but highly recommended.\r\n->4 x M3 screws (I used hex, but normal ones should fit as well)\r\n->4 x M3 nuts\r\n->3D printed parts\r\n\r\nSteps:\r\n->Print all the parts.\r\n->Cut the steel bar into 8, 9mm long pieces.\r\n->Glue the handles with plates (not handle to handle !!).\r\n->Drill out the screw holes with 3mm bits.\r\n->File 2 of the 9mm steel bar pieces to make both ends round (they're the pins in the blade).\r\n->Glue 3, 9mm steel bar pieces into left and right handles.\r\n->Glue blade pins into the blade.\r\n->Glue handle pins with the other handles (ensure the distance between handles is equal).\r\n->Insert handles into blade.\r\n->Screw it all together (not too tight).\r\n->Bravo, you got a working balisong.\r\n->Post-make, it's the most important step. Don't miss it ;D\r\n
