Long story short; I saw this original bronze sculpture that was simply unattainable for me. So I went about learning how to make one for myself. With 3D sculpting, structured light scanning and photogrammetry I created an 3D archive of figures. And since there is no greater joy than sharing, I made these available to all via mgoi. Each figure is a physical representation of an idea or a feeling. The right one will create beauty and harmony in your environment. About this model... ***** Balinese Shiva as Veerabhadra ***** A valiant hero is referred to as ‘Veera,’ while ‘Bhadra’ means a friend. Veerabhadra is my kuladev or ancestral tutelary deity. He watches over my clan (kula), gotra ( lineage) and family as he will watch over yours, in this serene Balinese representation. It depicts the dichotomy of two of Shiva's manifestations. One as a serene Adi-Yogi (first yogi) and the other as a warrior. In the Indian-Hindu tradition Veerabhadra is a fierce and fearsome form of the Shiva. He is anger-personified and fierce-looking, adorned with tiger skin and is generally depicted as having several arms, in which he holds many different weapons. In this sculpt, he is serene, calm, meditative, peaceful. Balinese Hinduism is thought to be a combination of two beliefs, the Shiva sect of Hinduism and Mahayana Buddhism.
