The mosque stands on a land as vast as 15 hectares, boasting a building area of 8.75 hectares. The construction of the mosque began in 2014 and was completed/commissioned on February 10, 2017 by Mayor Rizal Effendi of Balikpapan. It's said that the mosque's construction consumed a budget of approximately Rp.350 billion.
