I made a replacement for our WERU balcony door latch because the original one was prone to opening itself on windy days. To fix this issue, I designed the new latch to be larger than the original part. So far, it has been working flawlessly. The original part features a small cylinder that clips into the door, but I discovered that it is not necessary for proper function. This realization led me to design the replacement with a flat surface instead of the original cylindrical shape. Update to V3: Following several rounds of testing and refinement, I have improved the design of the latch. The new version, labeled V3, has proven to be significantly more effective in my application.
