I set out to build my own balancing bot, following the tutorial step by step. However, I lacked the necessary tools and materials to construct a sturdy frame. Fortunately, I had access to a computer and a 3D printer, which proved to be essential components in this project. The tutorial itself was incredibly informative and offered numerous possibilities for programming and customization. I decided to take it a step further by configuring my bot to accept PWM commands from my boat remote control radio receiver. This added an extra layer of functionality and versatility to the device. To ensure stability on various surfaces, I employed a clever hack involving a piece of bicycle inner tube. By stretching it over the tires, I was able to achieve a decent grip on smooth terrain, making navigation through different environments much easier.
