Introducing the Balancier from Big-E's Absynthesis collection - a fully 3D printed absinthe preparation tool. This essential piece for any aspiring absintheur is also a fun challenge in engineering. The Balancier, or Brouilleur Auto Verseurs, was invented over a century ago to simplify the absinthe preparation process. To print your own Balancier, you will need the following files: Balancier_cup_final.stl, Balancier_Leg-clip_helper.stl, Balancier_Leg-smooth_helper.stl, Balancier_spoon_simple_smooth.stl, Balancier_Timing_clip.stl, Balancier_Timing_clip_2.stl, and Balancier_Timing_clip_3.stl. Print the cup at high quality with 2 shells and 20% infill; legs at 100% infill for strength; and the spoon at highest quality with 100% infill. You can also print all leg pieces and timing clips in one go using Balancier_parts_plate.stl, though varying print quality between parts may affect results. Comprehensive assembly instructions are provided in PDF format. Assembling the Balancier requires care, so refer to the guide for assistance. Do not resell the design; use is Creative Commons with citation. For commercial purposes, please contact Big-E for licensing. To see it in action, watch the YouTube video.
