Balance Walking Robot. 3d printed TYPE 1
thingiverse
I wanted to build the simplest mechanical version of a self-balancing biped robot that could be easily 3D printed. The construction video can be found here: https://youtu.be/ikx0GVau6-4 A brief video of the robots operating is available here: https://youtu.be/JVck0YzVETA And in Silk Copper PLA here: https://youtu.be/yR-NXT7rPpw When it comes to the gearmotor, make sure to use the slower version 1/120 gearmotor. I also add a single 4001 silicon diode in the 3-volt supply line to reduce the motor voltage to 2.25 volts, which slows down the motor even more. If the motor runs too fast, when the robot throws its body from side to side, the mass can cause it to tip over. Other robots, like the CUBE WORKS cam 8 robot, walk slowly enough that the body mass doesn't matter. The cam 10 robot is small, so its body mass isn't significant and it can move faster. This large robot needs a slower pace to avoid tipping over due to the mass shift.
