Balance Board pattern and parts
prusaprinters
I wanted to make a board for practicing balance and agility but without killing myself. Found a design and recreated it. The parts allow for different configurations of a balance board, on a roll or on different balls. The wood is 19mm (3/4in) multiplex cut to a nice shape (see SVG template if you need one). Draw a center line along the length, then find the balance center (balance the board on your hands, arms spred out slightly, and push them together, they will meet where the center of gravity is). Align the printed parts and mark the holes. I used a shelf pin drill directly with the template and 5mm (IKEA style) shelf / hinge screws. You can drill all the holes, or just the ones you need. Printed in PLA and PETG, both work. 15% infill seems fine, my 50% PETG version is overkill but, hey, anything worth doing is worth overdoing. I recommend cork rolls and balls, or a soft pilates ball. The foam ones will quickly deform. Use at your own risk, hold onto something, stay away from glass doors and windows. You have been warned ;)
