Balance Board
pinshape
A simple printable part that's securely fastened with glue, often contact cement, directly onto a board. Additional support can be provided using bolts if needed, although it hasn't been necessary so far. The wooden material used was scrap from a shipping crate but nicer, pre-cut, 12-inch diameter boards are widely available at most chain hardware stores for around $10-15 USD. The object in question was printed with the following settings: 0.25mm layer thickness, 1.2mm perimeter width, 0.75 bottom layers, and 1.25 top layers. A 20% density of 3D infill was also used. Before using this printable part, ensure that it is properly laminated to avoid any potential flaws in its construction. These could lead to injuries if not addressed. This particular design isn't recommended for use on hardwood floors, but applying a few coats of Plasti Dip might be sufficient to provide the necessary grip and protection.
