Bakugan Prototype 3d model
thingiverse
I started working on this project last Thanksgiving, but the idea had been floating around in my head for over three months. I envisioned a themed video to coincide with the Battle Planet reboot and saw it as an opportunity to hone my skills using Fusion 360. The experience was enjoyable and helped me get comfortable with the software. Prototype 1 suffered from a significant layer shift in the head, which also caused the peg holes for the wings to be obscured. In Prototype 2, I repositioned the peg holes further back on the base, but the wings remained loose and constantly fell off. With Prototype 3, I began refining the details and corrected the wing alignment issue. The wings now stay securely in place, and the swivel mechanism is more accurate to the original toy's design. Prototype 4 marked the final version, where I added the horn and legs, and also addressed the head's closure issue. The dragon sphere was printed on my Cetus MK3 using eSun Light Blue PLA+.
