V-Ray Render and Materials Materials are exclusively utilized within 3ds max and FBX files. In FBX scenes, all texture data for materials is stored in a single master zip file called maxzip. For FBX, OBJ, 3DS, DXF, and DWG file formats, manual reapplication of textures is required due to the absence of this feature. All scene textures are centrally located within a root directory.
