Baker Electric Car
sketchfab
This model is largely inspired by the electric automobiles of 1910, specifically those produced by the Baker Motor Vehicle Company. While it is not a direct replica, it captures the essence of its time period. The model consists of two PBR materials, each with high-resolution textures. The first material boasts an 8k opaque texture, while the second features a transparent glass texture with a resolution of 4k. These textures are optimized for real-time rendering and can be easily downscaled to 4k or 2k without compromising performance. Additionally, the model is designed to withstand subdivision, thanks to its supporting loops that maintain its shape even when subdivided. For those interested in exploring the intricacies of this model, I have included a .blend file with all textures intact. The interior of the vehicle is relatively straightforward, but it was not my primary focus. Instead, I concentrated on creating a complex mechanism beneath the surface, one that would have been characteristic of automobiles from the early 20th century.
