I was in charge of wiring the brake light systems on my school's SAE Baja kart. This is a handy and sturdy battery mounting solution that stands the test of time. It allows you to mount two 9-volt batteries in parallel, or (if desired) in series to the standard 1-inch tube frame. Two drain holes are located at the bottom, while a vent hole is situated in the top. You will need two 9-volt connectors, or one dual 9-volt connector. I opted for the type shown in the picture. Note that the lid pegs are small and prone to breaking off easily; I suggest using a flat-head screwdriver in one of the square holes to pry it up as straight as possible. It's also advisable not to put the lid on until you've completed running wires.
