Bagat sewing machine pedal
thingiverse
I have this old Vishnja 750 sewing machine which I inherited it from my Grandma. She did a lot of tailoring even before she retired but after which she dedicated to mainly dress making for all of the girl's in our family, hand knitting and all the DIY around clothing. Sadly shes not with us any more and even though she thought me a lot around sewing and knitting I rarely had the chance to do much, until recently when I got time to refurbish the machine. Cleaned and greased up the machine parts and tried to open the pedal since it to required cleaning. The plastic is rather rigid and old and my clumsy man handling managed to broke it of around the axis wholes. Luckily I have other skils which are more acute and up to date, so I've decided to redrew it over the weekend in sketchup. The measurements are precise and I've managed to narrow the replica pedal down to fractions of mm using my new CR-10. Printed it out, refitted it rather easily ( unlike some of my other printed parts :) ) and whoala! Works like a charm! This pedal will fit other Vishnja and Bagat models as they are shared in design. Glad to have contributed to something old, whose parts are no longer manufactured and thus making it operate again. :)
