Bag strap joiner
thingiverse
The broken joiner on my daughter's Tinkerbell bag prompted me to create a replacement design. The pin, however, didn't print well; it would have been more effective to lay it sideways. Inserting the bar was relatively simple, but it had to be thin for proper sliding. To ensure stability, applying Gorilla Glue is recommended once the fitting is confirmed. I am sharing the OpenSCAD source code for further design improvements. The bag had two fixed strapping loops, so detachable clasps were not possible. Thus, I designed a bar and peg system: insert the strap into the housing, followed by pushing the peg/bar through the loop to secure it in place. Alternatively, a screw and nut could be used instead of the peg, depending on the bag's contents.
