I have a rugged Saddleback leather briefcase with reinforced tie-down straps, designed for securing an umbrella or other accessories when needed. These extra straps typically remain out of sight, but they do add a touch of style to the bag. After more than ten years of use, the leather has developed unique creases, causing it to resist staying in place. The strap frequently slips up from its loop and flails about. I added a compact tube and adjustable clip arms to keep the strap neatly doubled-over and secured through the loop as intended.
