Bag hooks for BMW X1 vehicle
thingiverse
I've never been a fan of the "hook" in the trunk of my BMW X1. As someone who's accustomed to having a hook to secure bags in the trunk, I was let down by this particular model's subpar offering. Logically, I decided to create my own! To print it successfully, it's essential to use strong material and a decent infill percentage. I've had great results with ABS plastic at 80% infill. Additionally, make sure the material you choose can withstand heat, as parking your car in direct sunlight can get quite hot. Unfortunately, there isn't an ideal printing orientation that allows you to print without supports. In my experience, printing them upside down with supports for the hooks worked flawlessly on my Prusa MK3S. Simply print it, remove it from the plate, and toss it over the weak hook – problem solved! After experimenting with several designs, I found one that fits perfectly on the existing hook without being stuck or too loose. This design has proven to be a game-changer for me, allowing me to quickly add or remove hooks without them falling off when grabbing a bag.
