Bag Filler Gallon size

This is a companion design for the quart bag holder shown here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1291420. If your print bed is spacious enough, use the "gallon foot", "gallon leg" and "gallon top" files. However, the top of this one extends nearly 7 inches in length, which wouldn't fit on my 5.5 x 5.5 inch Afinia build plate. I had to assemble it piece by piece. 2 "Top Half" and 2 "Top Boss" files need to be printed and assembled. With some precise positioning, 2 feet and 2 legs will fit on the small bed. I friction-welded the top halves and boss-pieces together using this method: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1807093. One photo shows a weld detail, demonstrating its strength. The welded construction can support near 4 kilos or 8 pounds of weight. The feet splayed outward due to side-pressure, but there's some flexibility and I won't be loading that much into the bag anyway. Glue or adhesive should suffice, but my intention was to weld it. The joint on the top halves was designed with welding in mind. I recommend using a welder. As with the quart bag holder, you'll likely need to file down the corners at both ends of the legs so that the parts assemble and disassemble smoothly. A tight fit can cause breakage. Make it smooth but not sloppy. Note: There are lots of files available, including metric versions.
