Bag End - The Baggins' Home

Bag End is a cozy Hobbit-hole nestled in the heart of Hobbiton, the charming village at the center of J.R.R. Tolkien's epic novels about Middle-Earth. This enchanting abode was once home to Bilbo Baggins, the beloved hero of The Hobbit, and later became the residence of Frodo Baggins, the courageous main character in Lord of the Rings. With this exquisite 3D printed replica, you can now bring a touch of Bag End into your own home, where it will lovingly cradle a small pot plant. We were tasked with creating an innovative project centered around environmental awareness, and we decided to design a charming planter that showcases the beauty of plants in keeping our planet clean and thriving. As we embarked on this creative journey, we encountered some challenges when crafting the postbox. To overcome these obstacles, we cleverly divided it into two distinct parts: the postbox itself and its sturdy leg. We also had to segment the wheelbarrow into three separate components because printing the wheels and handle simultaneously with the barrow's main body proved to be a difficult task. To create this delightful planter, we selected a pot with a diameter of 23 cm or approximately 9 inches. Our printer settings were carefully calibrated as follows: - Layer height: 0.2 mm - Fill density: 20% - Print speed: 40mm/s
