Mounting bafang hydraulic brake sensors can be a challenge with older Shimano brakes featuring open reservoirs, especially those manufactured before 2012. I encountered this issue firsthand when attempting to attach the magnets to my levers using glue, only to meet with failure. In response, I designed custom mounts that securely hold the magnets in place without relying on adhesives. The mounts incorporate locking tabs that ensure a snug fit onto your levers, eliminating the need for glue altogether. Simply position the sensor as shown in the accompanying photo and it should accurately register the brake's status.
