While upgrading my Framed Wolftrax 1.0 with the Bafang BBSHD mid drive electric bike upgrade kit, I encountered several challenges in achieving correct motor clearance, sprocket clearance, and chain alignment. To get accurate measurements, I found that I needed three shims between the sprocket side and the bottom bracket housing. Additionally, to clear the frame, another sprocket shim was essential. Initially, I used three of the kit's provided shims for motor clearance, but later created one anyway. The required thickness for the sprocket shim was 4.75mm to clear the frame when using the stock sprocket. To create this shim, I employed ABS with a high infill percentage and it tightened securely. However, I strongly advise purchasing metal-made shims due to the immense stress and abuse they will endure since the sprocket won't be self-centering on the drive hub. In my case, I replaced the stock cap screws and lock washers with M5 x 16mm ones for added security. This is a temporary fix until a more permanent solution can be determined, but sharing this information might prove helpful to others.
