The British-built BAe 146, a high wing, fully cantilever four-engine jet with a T-tail, was first produced in 1981 in the UK, with 387 manufactured. It has three versions: 100, 200, and 300, primarily serving as a regional jet, short-haul airliner, or regional airliner. Widely used by European airlines, these BAe 146/Avro RJ aircraft have safely and economically served global airlines. Many are being converted into freighters and cargo carriers while being replaced by newer models.
