The Bad at Sports (BAS) Mascot is a candy with an edgy persona. Founded in 2005 by Duncan MacKenzie, Richard Holland, and Amanda Browder, BAS now features over 20 collaborators and offers a weekly podcast, various objects, events, and a daily blog from Chicago, San Francisco, Detroit, and New York City. The organization interviews artists and "art worlders" about art and its community, functioning as an investigator, archivist, oral historian, and provocateur. Their content encompasses art, journalism, media, intellectualism, and the unconventional aspects of the art scene. BAS has collaborated with apexart in New York City and the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, among others, and shares contributors with renowned publications. The current team includes Brian Andrews, Mark Staff-Brandl, Amanda Browder, Stephanie Burke, and more. Interested parties can reach out to mail@badatsports.com for content contributions.
