Bacteriophage
thingiverse
This is an artist's rendering of a bacteriophage, based on images found in the biology textbook, not on any actual measurements or phages. Print Settings: Printer: FlashForge Creator Pro Rafts: Unnecessary Supports: Unnecessary Resolution: 0.2 mm Infill: 10% density Notes: Print the legs file three times for a total of six legs. To model the phage DNA, print the head in two separate pieces so that string can be glued inside. Post-Printing: Clean up and assemble the parts by gluing them together. Add string to the inside of the head to represent the phage's DNA. You may need to file or sand the ends of the legs for proper placement. To improve stability, I turned the legs around so that they lift the phage off the ground, achieving a more aesthetically pleasing design.
