Backup Cam Plate Mount (US)
thingiverse
My father-in-law drives a massive Ram 3500 truck and recently installed an aftermarket backup camera, just like the one shown in the summary below. However, due to the truck's design, he struggled to find a suitable spot for the camera that wouldn't obstruct his view of the hitch or interfere with the tailgate operation. I offered to help him out while they were visiting town, and I quickly whipped up a prototype using my 3D printer. First, I printed a test fit model from PLA plastic to ensure everything would work smoothly before producing the final version in PETG. My father-in-law asked me to hold off on painting it until he could check it out first, so I simply used quick printing settings. To make it easier for anyone who wants to remix my design, I've attached a Fusion archive file that includes all the necessary details.
