Backstone Beck Enclosure sits proudly atop the east side of Backstone Beck, within Rombalds Moor's sprawling landscape in West Yorkshire, England. Excavation and partial reconstruction took place in the mid-1980s by the Ilkley Archaeology Group and a government-funded Community Programme. Archaeologists uncovered a wealth of findings, including flint scatters from various time periods, pottery sherds, and evidence of hearths with burning remains and charcoal. A carved rock was also unearthed during the excavation. Carbon-14 dating revealed dates around 2500 BCE, but stratigraphy exposed multiple phases. The presence of lithics suggested that people inhabited the area as far back as the Mesolithic era. This model represents the southern half of the enclosure, meticulously crafted from 25 images captured by a Phantom 2 mounted GoPro 3+ Black on January 23, 2017. Unfortunately, the flight was cut short due to a frozen camera, leaving the northern section awaiting completion.
