Backpack Loop Protector
thingiverse
I use an AmazonBasics DSLR backpack to carry my drone gear when I ride my electric unicycle, because my real bag is just too heavy and bulky. This backpack has an elastic cord routed through some little loops along the sides of the backpack. I use that cord to hold the 5" freestyle quad, and the loops are fraying quite a bit. Especially the two at the top! I figured I could design something to spread the force of the cord out along the entire length of the loop instead of concentrating all the weight of the drone at the top. These work, but they were problematic. The loops really don't have a ton of room to squeeze and insert like these in. Especially with the little "ledge" I have on the top and bottom to attempt to keep them in place. These ledges barely fit through the loops, and they still aren't big enough to hold in place. I used a drop of E3000 adhesive on each one to keep them in place. My top two loops were in really bad shape. I used a lot of E3000 on those two loops. We'll see how that works out!
