Back to the Future Plutonium Chamber Gauge
thingiverse
Here's my attempt to recreate the gauges for the glove box area of the DeLorean from Back to the Future, specifically the Plutonium Chamber gauge. There are three files available; one for the Plutonium Chamber gauge, one for the round gauges and one for the lenses over the Empty light and the bottom section of the round gauges. The PC gauge is designed to use an LED in the Empty light area and Grain of Wheat bulbs in the base to illuminate the gauge itself. To find these components, visit: http://www.frys.com/product/452829;jsessionid=opBJ-d7TFnIUPJctdCue9Q__.node4?site=sr:SEARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG And also check out: http://www.frys.com/product/8791291?site=sr:SEARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG In addition, the PC gauge has cavities on the back to allow for heat-inserting of M3 threaded inserts. The round gauge uses the same Grain of Wheat bulb. Both gauges have a channel to accommodate .015 clear plastic "glass". I've included an image that I printed on sticker paper for the Plutonium Gauge and the round gauges. The "EMPTY" label is simply black on clear label maker tape printed on a Brother PTouch label maker, and the "PLUTONIUM GAUGE" is white on black. The needles for the gauges are not part of the file but are simply cut from small black zipties. Supports are required only for the PC gauge, and only from the build surface.
With this file you will be able to print Back to the Future Plutonium Chamber Gauge with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Back to the Future Plutonium Chamber Gauge.
