Back Scratcher Thingy

Back Scratcher Thingy

My wife is absolutely crazy about back scratchers, but she has a bad habit of sitting on the handle and breaking them left and right. It's time for me to take matters into my own hands - literally! I decided it was high time to print one myself. First up, I tried out lsc's design, the Back scratcher, available at thingiverse.com/thing:330936, but she found the rake head a bit too scratchy for her taste. That's when I decided to take things into my own hands and modify it using a spare part from her last breakage as a guide. I also saw this as an opportunity to give richgain's Lockblock - printable connector a try. Using Lockblock's scad file, I generated some test pieces with different clearances to see which one would work best on my Anycubic Kossel Linear Plus 3D printer. It looks like the 0.3mm clearance piece is the way to go. You can use Tinker cad to swap out the joint pieces if you find a better fit than the 0.3mm clearance piece I've included as a test block. Note that the shape of the handle isn't symmetrical, so be sure to print both lockjoint's - don't try to print one twice! I'd recommend sitting the numbered end on the print bed. I used Tinkercad to edit and combine all the different components into one cohesive whole. The three parts were printed standing upright on the Kossel, with Part 1 and 2 getting supports to keep them stable during printing. I went for 4 perimeters and 10% infill to get the best results possible.
