Baby Tux
thingiverse
This is an OpenSCAD rendition of Nicolas Rougier's creation, originally designed for POV-RAY. You can find it at https://www.labri.fr/perso/nrougier/artwork/index.html#baby-gnu-and-baby-tux. I had to adjust the wing, tongue, and feet to accommodate its translation into OpenSCAD. I hope this adaptation doesn't compromise the original essence. You can select the position of Baby Tux (seated or standing) and whether the beak is open or closed for easier printing without the tongue. Use coarse mode to choose your configuration, then refine the mesh before exporting. In fine mode, it may take a very long time (over 1 hour!). It's possible to create a multi-part model (one of each color or component) or a single block (in yellow, you'll get a nice chick). I've added two configurations directly in STL for your convenience: standing with an open beak and standing with a closed beak.
With this file you will be able to print Baby Tux with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Baby Tux.
