Baby Taylor 2 Guitar Hole Desmokifyer Fan Mount

I recently purchased a pre-owned Baby Taylor 2E, a versatile and compact guitar ideal for travel; it sounds fantastic when plugged into an amp! Upon inspecting the guitar with the seller, I was pleased to find that it was in great shape, free from buzzes, cracks, overt repairs, perfect intonation, and a straight neck – what more could you ask for? However, one aspect of the guitar had not been thoroughly checked: Cigarette Stank. Ugh! To tackle this issue, I spent considerable time cleaning and oiling the exterior case, replaced the strings with new ones, washed the soft case in our front loader (twice!), but the sound hole still reeked. That's when I came up with a creative solution – creating a mount for a compact "boxer" fan. The fan is positioned on the mount to suck air out of the guitar, while the inlet vent pulls in fresh air. To maximize airflow efficiency, the inlets are ducted to blow and suck air to different sides of the guitar. I ran this setup for several hours in my office and another few hours outside on our outdoor screened porch on a beautiful day; the smell was completely gone, with no lingering air-freshener odor – what a relief! The unit pictured is based on a plan that required trimming the mount slightly to fit within the confines of my printer. I've included the LWO file so you can choose your preferred design or resize parts to accommodate your larger guitar.
