I revamped this fantastic design by dutchmogul solely due to my strong dislike for facets on round objects.\r\nNext, I thought, why not also make it print flawlessly without supports? So I redesigned the head with a more teardrop shape.\r\nFinally, I decided that making all components screw together would yield a more stable and robust final product, so I added threading. However, it's still essential to glue everything before handing it over to a child.\r\n\r\nPrint the Head:\r\nPause at 50mm or so to insert the rattle pieces.\r\n0.2mm Layer - 0% infill - 4+ shells (thicker = stronger) - Support only underneath where it meets the handle.\r\nPrint it slowly with 100% filament cooling fan, or it will curl up while printing and cause issues. I printed it at 50% of my normal speed, but you may need to adjust your settings accordingly.\r\n\r\nPommel:\r\n0.2mm Layer - 3-4 shells are sufficient with 25%+ infill - Support only underneath where it meets the handle.\r\n\r\nHandle:\r\n0.2mm Layer - 3-4 shells are fine with 25%+ infill \r\n\r\nI increased the infill on the pommel and handle pieces because I anticipate they will be subjected to heavy use.
