Baby Proofing Corner Guards

Baby Proofing Corner Guards

I'm on the hunt for a corner-guard design that will baby-proof my home, and I think I've found one by "ffleurey" on thingiverse (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:139473). The design is pretty cool with an awesome photograph, but it's specifically designed for tables with 25mm thickness. It has a horizontal rib at 25mm which means it won't fit if the table is thicker than 25mm or if it's box-shaped furniture. Also, the top is horizontally cut which looks great but I wanted one that's completely spherical. So, I took matters into my own hands and designed one in Fusion 360 using a 50mm sphere. The top is still horizontally cut here too, and it'll be printed upside down to avoid supports, but the cut-out portion is another STL so if you want a full sphere, you can glue them together. Here are some notes: * It doesn't need any support or brim or skirts. I was able to print it neatly on my i3Mini without a heated bed. * I used 5% infill and it's pretty light weighted, completing in around 23+7 minutes. * The layer height was 0.24mm and I printed it out of Wanhao black PLA. * It's good to print the two parts separately. If you put them together in one gcode file, it would take longer and the travel between the two bodies can cause stringing or an improper finish.
